Working with Darcy

We begin by assessing your needs through an exploration of your history, previous treatments, and most pressing concerns. Together we develop a plan utilizing the various approaches and modalities that will work best for you, such as Bowenwork, Yoga Therapy or MSTR.

As your practitioner I provide you with close, personal attention every step of the way. Each session involves moment to moment assessment of your patterns of movement, patterns of compensation, limitations, bracing or gripping, breathing, strain, and more. Personalized coaching each step of the way - in language you can easily follow - helps you get the most from each session.

The pace and frequency of your sessions is developed to fit into your schedule and needs. Get the support you need, and see results with one-one-one support.

Private sessions have the potential for fastest progress.

what to expect IN A SESSION

An initial session is about 1.5 hours, while regular sessions last approximately 1 hour. Lightweight loose clothing is appropriate for all sessions. After an initial in-depth assessment, we will progress to therapeutic treatment. Each session ends with time for deep relaxation to allow work to begin integrating, followed by re-assessment and usually a home movement program tailored to your needs and schedule.

I will apply one or more modalities such as Bowenwork, Therapeutic Yoga, MSTR, or other. You might request one particular modality, or we may decide together. Packages of discounted sessions may combine modalities. I encourage you to learn more about why these particular modalities and what they all have in common.


Presenting issue: sciatica.

When I was recently struggling with severe sciatica, I went to Darcy for help. I began feeling better from my very first therapeutic yoga session. Going forward Darcy intuited that alternating Therapeutic Yoga with Bowenwork could bring the most relief. It was EXACTLY what I needed! I’m fully recovered now, but am continuing with both the yoga and Bowenwork, which are supporting me in reaching an even greater level of health.
